2. Clear the Path:
Remove any obstacles like hoses, decorations, or uneven objects from driveways and sidewalks. Safety starts at the doorstep.

3. Pet Precautions:
Halloween can be stressful for pets. Keep furry friends indoors or secured in a quiet space away from the front door to prevent escapes or frightful encounters. 

4. Use Battery-Powered Candles:
Ditch the open flames inside pumpkins and décor — battery-powered candles create the same festive glow without the fire risk.

Stick to familiar streets and well-lit areas. Reflective tape or glow sticks help kids stay visible as they collect their candy haul.

2. Check Treats Before Eating:
Make it a fun family activity to inspect candies and discard anything that’s unwrapped or suspicious.

3. Dress for Safety:
Choose costumes that fit properly to avoid tripping. Masks can limit vision — consider face paint instead for a fun (and safer) look.​
